Gładki Wierch is a prominent peak located on the main ridge of the High Tatras, separating the Dolina Pięciu Stawów Polskich valley from the Slovakian Dolina Cicha valley. Historically, this area was explored by shepherds and poachers, and the first recorded tourist ascents date back to the mid-19th century. A distinctive feature of this peak is its gentle, grassy southern slopes, which provide a striking contrast to the more rocky formations found on the northern side. The main tourist attraction in the area is the access to a vast panorama of the surrounding ridge, which can be admired from the nearby Gładka Przełęcz pass. Although there is currently no marked trail leading to the very top, its immediate vicinity remains a key landmark for hikers traversing the high-mountain passes.
