Nosal, located in the vicinity of the Western Tatras, is one of the most recognizable subalpine peaks, situated in the immediate vicinity of Zakopane and Kuźnice. The name of the peak refers to the distinctive shape of the rocks, which resemble a nose, and its geological structure is based on limestones and dolomites of the subalpine series. The history of this place is closely linked to the development of downhill skiing, as evidenced by the organization of World Cup competitions on the steep, northern slope of the mountain. Tourists are primarily attracted by the numerous viewpoints offering panoramic views of the Bystra Valley and the rocky peaks of the High Tatras. Thanks to its short and technically easy trails, this place is an ideal destination for those who are just starting their adventure with mountain hiking.
