Chochołowska Clearing is the largest clearing in the Polish Tatra Mountains, located in the Chochołowska Valley, which was once one of the most important pastoral centers in the region. Numerous historic shepherd huts and a wooden chapel dedicated to St. John the Baptist remind us of its rich history. Today, a large PTTK mountain hut operates here. This place is best known for the mass blooming of crocuses in spring and serves as a key hub for hiking trails leading to the surrounding peaks of the Western Tatras.
