The pass between the peaks (1499 m), also known as Karczmisko, is a key junction of hiking trails located at the meeting point of the Western and High Tatras, and serves as a popular resting point on the way to Hala Gąsienicowa. This place is famous for its exceptionally picturesque panorama of the High Tatras, and its name refers to a local tradition, according to which a primitive inn for shepherds and travelers once existed here. The pass connects two popular routes leading from Kuźnice – the blue trail through Boczań and the yellow trail through Dolina Jaworzynka – making it one of the most frequently visited spots in this part of the mountains.
