Western Tatras | 1333 meters above sea level | Moderate

Explore Place

The PTTK mountain hut on Hala Kondratowa is the smallest of its kind in the Polish Tatra Mountains, beautifully situated at an altitude of 1333 meters above sea level, at the foot of Giewont. The current wooden building was constructed between 1947 and 1948, and its unique history is recalled by a huge boulder that rolled down the slope in 1953 and hit the wall of the dining room. Due to its intimate atmosphere and strategic location on the trails leading to Czerwone Wierchy, it is one of the most popular places for tourists to rest in the Western Tatras.
