Piwniczna-Zdrój is a charming spa town located in a picturesque valley of the Poprad River in the Sądecki Beskid mountains. The town is famous for its unique mineral waters, known as “acid waters,” and its extensive network of hiking and cycling trails leading towards Radziejowa or Eliasówka. Thanks to its location right on the border with Slovakia, it is an excellent base for those who want to combine relaxation in the spa with active outdoor recreation.
The Art Gallery and Water Therapy Center
This is a unique place on the city map, combining the function of a mineral water spring with an art gallery and a concert hall, creating a cultural center for the region.
Rafting on the Poprad River
One of the biggest tourist attractions, offering a safe and incredibly scenic boat trip through the river valley, which meanders strongly in this area.
Free access to mineral water sources
Unlike many large spa towns, in Piwniczna and the surrounding villages (e.g., Głębokie), numerous mineral springs are publicly accessible, and you can draw water directly from their natural outlets.
