The Spisko-Gubałowskie Foothills are a picturesque range of hills stretching north of the Podtatrzański Valley, forming a natural and exceptionally scenic foreground to the highest mountains in Poland. This region is characterized by gentler terrain, expansive meadows, and the unique wooden architecture of Podhale and Spiš. Due to the lower technical difficulty of the trails, it is an ideal place for family outings, hiking trips, and cycling expeditions.
The best viewing platform
The ridge of the foothills offers the most comprehensive, panoramic view of the entire Tatra mountain range, from east to west.
Gubałówka and the funicular railway
This is the most famous peak in the range, and since 1938, a legendary cable car has been taking visitors up from the center of Zakopane.
